5 Easy-To-Learn Sports

Time To Get Active

Being active doesn't have to be complicated. If you were worried that learning a new sport would be difficult and you'd embarrass yourself in front of others, it's anything but the case. Sometimes, the best way to start is to begin with something simple, fun, and easy, and this list provides you with just that. Here are five easy-to-learn sports we know you'll actually enjoy.

1. Walking

There's nothing easier than grabbing a pair of good shoes and heading outside to go on a walk! Arguably the easiest sport to make part of your routine, you can go about it alone with some music, or link up with some friends for a nice walk and some good company.

2. Soccer

All you need is a soccer ball and an open field, grassy, dirt, or cement, and you can have a fun game of soccer. While you will have to get used to dribbling the ball and becoming one with your feet, the rules are pretty simple. It's a great sport to play if you're looking to play with many friends, too.

3. Pickleball

Combining elements of many popular sports like tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, pickleball is the hottest new sport on the block. Attracting young adults and seniors alike, this easy-to-learn sport simply requires a plastic ball and some paddles. With so many courts being built, there's likely one nearby for you to head to as well.

4. Cycling

If you've got a bike just lying around at home, why not make use of it? Instead of driving to the grocery store, consider cycling over instead. You'll realize how enjoyable it is, all while getting in that extra bit of cardio. It's fun fitness you won't complain about.

5. Badminton

Though this sport requires a bit of hand-eye coordination that will take some practice, once you're used to hitting the birdie with your racket, all you have to do is get it over the net. Fun and easy to play with friends, this sport will feel more like a fun activity than exercise. You really get a full body workout experience too!
