5 Common Stressors Everyone Shares

Everyone Faces These Issues

Although everybody is different and struggles with their own personal issues, there are a few common stressors that we all share. Call them rites of getting older if you will. No matter how difficult these five stressors are, maybe you'll feel a bit better knowing you're not going through them alone.

1. Relationship Problems

No matter how much you love and get along with your partner, it won't save you from relationship struggles and challenges that everyone faces. When you're with someone as much as you are with your partner, there's bound to be some friction every now and then. And these relationship issues can become stressors that are hard not to think about as you go on with your daily life.

2. Financial Struggles

With how expensive everything is getting around us, it's hard not to let money and finances affect our mental health. Worrying about making ends meet or affording living costs is a constant chip on everyone's shoulder. We're all just trying to survive in this economy!

3. Academic Hardships

For students in college or even high school, it can feel like their whole life revolves around doing well in school. Get a bad grade, and suddenly your dreams and aspirations are flashing before your very eyes. That's why the pressure to do well in academics is a serious stressor we all commonly face as we grow up.

4. Identity Struggles

As we grow older, learning about who you are and who you want to be are serious questions that are difficult to answer. What do you want to do with your life? What field do you want to work in? All these questions that lead to figuring out your identity can feel incredibly overwhelming when you're still trying to understand the basics.

Stuck in a job working for a boss you hate? It happens, especially when you're just trying to make a living. When you're constantly going to work at a place that you hate, it becomes an unavoidable stressor that's hard to ignore.
